*Each of the five Carbon
County school districts has recently given its
approval to a proposed CCTI building project. It
will be the first major renovation/addition since
the school opened in 1966. The cost of the building
project will be $20.5 million dollars. The firm of
Godshall Kane Architects, Ambler, PA has been
engaged to oversee this important undertaking. They
have extensive experience and good results in recent
career and technical projects. The documents below
are provided to offer a better understanding of the
CCTI project:

*CCTI will expand its pilot
ninth grade program for the 2008-2009 school year,
increasing the quota from five to ten freshmen from
each of the participating school districts. These
youngsters will continue to be provided three 30
day exploratory experiences in CTE programs of
their choosing. At the end of the first semester the
students are placed into their preferred program.
*Two of the five
participating districts, Panther Valley and
Weatherly, have chosen to send a portion of their
students on a shared-time (half day) basis for the
2008-2009 school years. Their students will receive
their academic subjects at the home school.
